IMPACT-team
The employees on the IMPACT team are professional trainers and coaches whose success is down to their ability to challenge or help their trainees or coachees to improve their skills using a combination of enthusiasm, humour and expert knowledge.

Stijn Vandenberk
Trainer Consultant
Stijn started working as a personnel officer in an office furniture business after obtaining his Master’s degree in Psychology and Pedagogic Sciences (Ghent University). After his military service, he was recruited as a Consultant/Trainer at a firm of consultants. He decided to set up IMPACT with some colleagues in 1991, where he has since worked as the Chief Executive Officer. In addition to several additional training courses, he has obtained accreditation for the EQi, the LIFO, PFPI, TD12 and Realdrives.

Alex Van Vlerken
Trainer
Alex immediately began working in adult education in what were then centres for vocational education, now SYNTRA, after studying economics (Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Accountancy). He has worked for IMPACT since 1992, where the focus would very quickly shift towards skills training courses via the train the trainer programmes. He mainly provides management training, training on supervision and on personal effectiveness, both in Dutch and English. For a brief while he worked as a police inspector with the local police at Zaventem, and has since been associated with the police training college of Flemish Brabant and other institutions as a guest instructor. He is a keen motorcyclist and works as an instructor at the Mercator driving school in Rotselaar.

Chima Mediouni
Consultant Assistant
Chima graduated from her Business Management studies at UCLL in 2011. After spending 2 years gaining experience as an assistant in the educational sector, she started working with IMPACT in 2013. She works in general administration, looks after communication between the Trainer Consultant, Coaches and clients, and provides the necessary instructional materials for various assignments. She also works with the Consultant on selection. In short, she is responsible for coordination and is the central point of contact within IMPACT.

Mieke Casier
Coach Consultant
Mieke graduated from KU Leuven as a Work and Organisational Psychologist. She started her career at Inbev for Corporate Marketing Research and subsequently External Relations. By the end of 1997 she was working for IMPACT, training groups and individuals from various backgrounds and educational levels to develop their social and management skills. She advises HR departments with regard to structure and policy and the consequences of these for employees. Since 2006 she is certified as a professional coach and coaches managers, supervisors and employees in their personal and professional development and well-being, what their strengths are and how they can be better deployed. She has followed training courses at the Vlerick Business School, The Coaching Square, OPP, and PEN Psychodiagnostics. In her free time, she is active with Plan International. In addition, she has received her accreditation for EQi, PFPI, and TD12.

Ken Pieters
Trainer Consultant
Ken graduated with distinction from Ghent University with a Master’s Degree in Communication Studies in 2011. He combined this with a diploma in education by completing the teacher training programme. He has worked with IMPACT as a communication trainer since 2012. His primary focus is everything to do with communication, leadership and personal development. In addition to training, Ken is also a journalist with West Flemish television broadcasters Focus & WTV. He previously worked as a freelance reporter for ‘Het Laatste Nieuws’ and ‘Radio 2’. In his free time, he is a dedicated athlete.

Koen Van Holderbeke
Trainer Consultant
Koen Van Holderbeke graduated as an Organizational Psychologist at University of Leuven. In the early years of his career, he developed and implemented various HR tools and systems (Job Evaluation, Assessment Tools, Development Centers, Corporate Management Training, 360 feedback processes, Competency management ...) for Philips Belgium. Later he became the HR Business Partner of the R&D department of Philips in Leuven. In a next career step, he took up the assignment of HR Director for the Remote Control division, responsible for HR policy at locations in Leuven, Portugal, Mexico, Singapore and China. After a career at Philips, he became Global HR Director at Denon & Marantz Global OEM and then Premium Sound Solutions. He was responsible for designing and implementing the global HR policy during the tremendous growth of the company (Mergers & Acquisitions, HR strategy, Remuneration policy, Management Team guidance, Organization development, Talent Management, Retention policy, Headcount Planning, Lean, Intercultural management etc). Koen has been working for Impact since 2020, where his main focus is on various HR consulting projects, Management Training and Coaching. He prefers a pragmatic “hands-on” approach with an eye for the broader strategic business context. In his spare time, you can regularly find Koen in the region around Barcelona to discover the local design, culture and culinary specialties.

Miek Hoogsteyns
Trainer - Coach - Consultant
Miek entered the corporate world directly after finishing her Speech Therapy studies in Ghent. After her initial short experience with Dutch company OCE, she went to work for American company Kellogg’s, where she became involved in Marketing for the next 17 years. Besides marketing, in her function as Group Brand Manager Benelux, she also accumulated considerable experience in people management and coaching, and the focus of her interest changed from developing brands to helping people develop. From this interest and passion for sharing knowledge and experience, the changeover to training, coaching and consulting was the next logical challenge in her career. For Miek, guiding people in their growth without judgement, and helping them utilise their own qualities and values in the process, is most important. She speaks Dutch, French and English.

Els Ory
Trainer Consultant
Els' interest in communication, working with people and languages were immediately apparent from her choice of study: a Master’s degree in interpreting, Dutch-French-Spanish. After four years in international telemarketing and telesales (telesales coach and programme manager), she took the step to a production environment in the automotive sector. When she kept being asked to ‘give training courses’ at this company, it became clear that IMPACT was the right choice for her. Els has made her business experience available to participants since the end of 2003 and enthusiastically provides a range of skills training courses in personal development, sales and leadership/management. Els can give training courses in Dutch, French or English.
Simon Dewulf
Physical coach - Bijles
Simon changed his focus to a career as a Personal Coach after completing his Masters in Engineering (2016). He is an NASM Personal Trainer as well as a Cross-fit level 1 Trainer. Working within IMPACT nv, since 2018 he has guided sportsmen and women dealing with burnout, as well as people wishing to get back to physical fitness. He is also responsible for the tutoring platform and is a tutor himself, specialising in science subjects. He is passioniate about nature and animals and spends his holidays in the mountains..
