Trainer - Coach - Consultant
Miek entered the corporate world directly after finishing her Speech Therapy studies in Ghent. After her initial short experience with Dutch company OCE, she went to work for American company Kellogg’s, where she became involved in Marketing for the next 17 years. Besides marketing, in her function as Group Brand Manager Benelux, she also accumulated considerable experience in people management and coaching, and the focus of her interest changed from developing brands to helping people develop. From this interest and passion for sharing knowledge and experience, the changeover to training, coaching and consulting was the next logical challenge in her career. For Miek, guiding people in their growth without judgement, and helping them utilise their own qualities and values in the process, is most important. She speaks Dutch, French and English.
Els' interest in communication, working with people and languages were immediately apparent from her choice of study: a Master’s degree in interpreting, Dutch-French-Spanish. After four years in international telemarketing and telesales (telesales coach and programme manager), she took the step to a production environment in the automotive sector. When she kept being asked to ‘give training courses’ at this company, it became clear that IMPACT was the right choice for her. Els has made her business experience available to participants since the end of 2003 and enthusiastically provides a range of skills training courses in personal development, sales and leadership/management. Els can give training courses in Dutch, French or English.
